ARTIST'S STATEMENT My current photography isolates and exposes human characteristics inevitably found in man-made objects. My work attempts to elicit genuine human reactions and emotions by unveiling the natural and organic qualities of manufactured objects. I highlight the graceful and haunting details most people ignore: the decaying, peeling, and rotting away of artificial layers, the hidden innards of unnatural objects. Beauty, sadness, loneliness, and fluidity are revealed in commonplace objects, looked at in an uncommon way. |
